- 種命名者:A. Smetana
- 簡介:" General color of Quedius yann piceous-black, abdomen brownish-piceous, with lateral and apical portions of tergites and apex indefinitely paler, rather castaneous; head, pronotum and elytra pale bronze-green metallic; abdomen slightly iridescent; appendages pale testaceous. Q. yann may be easily distinguished from Q. bih, in addition to the character states of the aedeagus, by the short elytra and by the absence of the whitish apical seam of palisade fringe on the abdominal tergite 7. All specimens of the original series were collected by sifting moss on large fallen trees in primary broadleaved evergreen forests, sometimes mixed with conifers. So far, there is only one reference describing this species. The description based on the original description of Smetana (1995). Quedius yann 體色為亮黑色，腹部亮棕黑色，腹部背板側區和端區及腹部末端有些地方色較淺，略呈栗色；頭，前胸背板和前翅具淺青銅綠金屬光澤；腹部略呈彩虹色彩，副器淺，紅棕色。Q. yann 其Q. bih 不同處除了在於陰莖構造外，其前翅較短，且腹部背板第七節柵狀邊緣不具白色端縫。本種可藉由篩檢原始常綠闊葉林或與針葉林混生森林內之大型倒樹上的苔蘚而得。截至目前為止，有關本種之文獻僅有一篇，因此本種之描述以Smetana (1995) 所發表之原始文獻為主。"
