- 簡介:" Quedius perng頭亮黑色；前胸背板亮黑色，偶爾在側緣有變異，從色較淡至幾乎整個均為暗紅棕色；前翅亮黑色至紅棕色；腹部亮黑色至亮黑棕色，有些背板端緣和端部顏色有變異，有時顏色較淡，朝向端部形成大範圍的紅棕色；頭、前胸背板和前翅具微弱的青銅金屬光澤，腹部呈現彩虹色彩，副器紅棕色，後足脛節中央平面具些微彩虹色彩，很少有不清楚之黑化。Q. perng 在顏色上稍有變異，雄蟲常有部份標本前胸背板部份或整個顏色較淡，而雌蟲則前胸背板色較暗。Q. perng 發生於約2100公尺至超過3600公尺的山區森林環境中，可於常綠闊葉林中篩檢枯枝落葉和其他森林地表之腐質，枯萎植物和苔蘚中採得標本，或於針葉林中篩檢腐質、苔蘚、殘留樹皮和腐爛的木頭碎片，及於密生杜鵑植物與圓柏混生環境中篩檢苔蘚、枯枝落葉和其他腐質採得標本。截至目前為止，有關本種之文獻僅有一篇，因此本種之描述以Smetana (1995) 所發表之原始文獻為主。 Head of Quedius perng is piceous-black; pronotum piceous to piceous-black, occasionally variably paler along lateral margins to almost entirely dark reddish- brown; elytra piceous to reddish-brown; abdomen piceous or piceous-brown with variably paler apical margins of tergites and apex, sometimes paler, becoming extensively reddish-brown toward apex; head, pronotum and elytra with faint metallic-bronze reflections, abdomen iridescent; appendages brunneo-testaceous, medial faces of hind tibiae more or less iridescent, rarely vaguely darkened. Q. perng is rather variable in the coloration, The males tend to have partially to entirely paler pronotum, while almost all females have the pronotum dark. Q. perng occurs in montane forest habitats, from about 2100 m to over 3600 m. Specimens were collected by sifting leaf litter and other forest floor debris, dead vegetation and moss in broadleaved evergreen forests, by sifting debris, moss, bark remnants and decaying pieces of wood on the floor in coniferous forests, and by sifting moss, leaf litter, and other debris under dense Rhododendron growths with intermixed junipers. So far, there is only one reference describing this species. The description based on the original description of Smetana (1995)."
