英文說明:Children's hats adorned on top with a wuyu (屋宇—a peaked cover) were commonly referred to as “zhuangyuan” (literally, “first place scholar”) hats in the hope that the children who wear them grow up to be rich officials. This example, a combination of the zhuangyuan and wind hat, has a flap in the back. It is decorated in the front with gold-coil stitched “ruyi yuntou.” These evolved from designs of clouds and, because of the similarity in sound with the Chinese word for “fortune,” suggest good luck.
