- 中文說明:玻璃眼鏡是在明朝永樂皇帝時由歐洲傳入，傳入後中國人改用水晶製作，本件為銅框的水晶眼鏡，尾端懸在耳朵部分以古錢形狀裝飾，老花用，皇室才能使用這種昂貴的水晶眼鏡，後來才逐漸發展出普遍使用的玻璃眼鏡、近視眼鏡。
- 日文說明:ガラスの眼鏡は明朝永楽皇帝時代に西欧より傳入したもの、その後明人は水晶で製作するようになり、本件は銅框の水晶眼鏡で、末端の耳に掛かる所は古銭形で装飾してある。老眼鏡に属し、皇室だけに使用される高貴なもの。後逐次ガラスの眼鏡に発展、近視眼鏡としても使用される。
- 英文說明:Glass spectacles were introduced into China from Europe during the reign of Emperor Yongle of the Ming Dynasty. The Chinese then began making spectacles out of crystal. These glasses consist of crystal lenses and copper frames. The earpiece is decorated in the shape of ancient money. Expensive crystal spectacles for far-sighted individuals were only worn by the royal household. Affordable glass spectacles and glasses for near-sighted people would be developed later.
