英文說明:Taiwanese men began wearing western-style hats during the period of Japanese occupation. Initially, they wore headwear made out of woven rush, then they gradually adopted felt hats constructed on sewing machines. The V-shaped tops, used to keep the hats snug on the head, were formed by a specially made press mold. Judging from its overall appearance, the felt hatband, and edgework, this specimen was a high-class model worn when going out.
