(1) While in the horse stance with your hands crossed in front of your lower abdomen, turn your palms over so that they are facing up and spread your hands apart, extending your left hand in front of you and up and your right hand past your abdomen and down and back and up again so that it forms a curve facing upward. This should be done while you turn your hips to the right and as you watch your right hand. Perform this movement while breathing in. Then raise your right arm, bent at the elbow, past your right hand, palm facing forward, and past your right ear and to the front. Breathe out while doing this. Pull your left hand, which is currently in front of you, back toward your chest while keeping it horizontal to the ground, so that your hands brush past each other in front of you. (2) Your right hand should continue going backward so that it forms a curve facing upward. This should be done while you turn your hips to the left and as you watch your left hand. Perform this movement while breathing in. Then raise your left arm, bent at the elbow, past your left hand, palm facing forward, by your left ear and to the front. Breathe out while doing this. Pull your right hand, which is currently in front of you, back toward your chest while keeping it horizontal to the ground, so that your hands brush past each other in front of you. Do this with the left and right sides in turn. Key points: Hands should cross in front of your chest. Inhale when pulling hand back in and exhale when pushing hand forward. Perform this form six times.
