英文說明:The sieves used for unhulled rice in the early days were also used to sieve fertilizer at times, and were made out of bamboo in a rectangular shape with holes or mesh. The two sides of the sieve were bound to two long bamboo poles so that the device could be manipulated by two people when in use. The shaking motion caused hulls to fall through the sieve leaving the straw atop the device where it could be easily removed. This example features a frame with iron wire on the wooden frame. Its shape is reminiscent of the gravel sifters used in cement work.
