- 中文說明:石秤子是秤的石質秤鉈。早期鐵材較貴，而秤鉈為鐵材則容易生鏽，石材則較便宜，也不會生鏽。石秤鉈的使用的材質多用花崗石，也有砂岩，少數用青斗石，有的石鉈上常刻有花紋和動物形狀，本件為中型的桿秤所用。本件為素面，完整的石秤子。
- 日文說明:花崗岩を秤の錘にした品、鉄材の錘は錆び易く石材より高いので花崗岩、砂岩または青斗石を使う。石の錘に花模様や動物の形状を彫刻しているのもある。この品は中型の秤で、完全な石秤である。
- 英文說明:This is a stone weight from a balance. In the early days, iron was expensive. Moreover, iron weights were prone to rust. Using stone to make weights was cheaper and had the advantage of yielding a rustproof weight. Most such stone weights were made of granite, with a few made of sandstone. A small number were made out of other types of stone. Some of these weights were carved with designs and animal figures. This weight was used in conjunction with a medium-sized hook balance. This example is plain and the weight is complete.
