石渠寶笈三編(避暑山莊),第九冊,頁4512&*故宮書畫錄(卷八),第四冊,頁6&*故宮書畫圖錄,第十八冊,頁269-272&*唐寅(西元一四七○—一五二三年),字伯虎,江蘇吳縣人。他在書畫詩文各方面,均有過人的才華,而且性情豪放不羈,是明代中期蘇州地區,極具知名度的文人兼職業畫家。 夏日的清晨,夜霧尚未退盡,湖面四周,隱約可見柳樹、荷花、水波和小舟。遠方,並有一抹淡淡的山巒。全畫的構圖簡潔,但卻處處洋溢著瀟灑、典雅的筆墨趣味。是唐寅五十二歲的得意作品。 &*T'ang Yin, a native of Kiangsu province, was gifted at calligraphy, painting, poetry, and writing. By nature, he was a free and unrestrained spirit. A famous painter of the Soochow area in the middle Ming, he was able to combine elements of scholar and professional painting styles. On a summer morning before the late night mist has yet to burn off, the surface of a lake reveals a willow tree, lotus blossoms, reeds and grasses, and a small skiff. In the distance are hills enveloped in mist represented (along with the water) by blank paper. The composition is quite abbreviated, yet it still overflows with a sense of abundance and elegant brushwork.
