石渠寶笈續編(乾清宮),第二冊,頁722&*故宮書畫錄(卷八),第四冊,頁109&*故宮書畫圖錄,第十二冊,頁55-56&* 董邦達(西元一六九九-一七六九年),字孚存,浙江富陽人。雍正十一年(一七三三)進士,官至禮部尚書。畫山水法董其昌,得元人筆墨,以清麗勝。 居庸關在河北昌平縣境內,是長城的主要關隘,兩旁高山聳立,翠嶂重疊,有「居庸疊翠」之名,是燕京八景之一。山中有長達二十公里的溪谷,稱「關溝」。此圖俯瞰全景,由南至北,標示著名景觀七處,峰嶺溪石充塞畫面,十分壯觀。 &* Tung Pang-ta (1699-1769) was a chin-shih degree holder and a high official at court. In painting, he followed the style of Tung Ch’i-ch’ang, achieving the manner of Yüan artists with clarity and elegance. The Chü-yung Pass is located in Hopeh and one of the important gateways in the Great Wall. Tall peaks rise on either side and behind like an emerald screen, hence the name “Emerald Layers of Chü-yung.” One of the Eight Scenes of Yen-ching, the mountains have a stream valley that runs for 20 kilometers known as “Ravine Pass.” The broad bird’s-eye vista in this work is from south to north and includes seven scenic spots marked with labels. Mountains and rocks fill the surface of the painting to create a grand and monumental landscape.
