故宮書畫錄(卷八),第四冊,頁37&*故宮書畫圖錄,第十七冊,頁161-162&*本幅無款印,舊傳為趙孟頫之作,然畫風不類。畫中陶淵明持杖歸來,二僕隨行,一人囊琴攜卷,一人背負酒罈。門前五株柳樹,清楚點明畫中人物即五柳先生。人物衣紋用筆剽疾,流暢有力。柳幹皴紋描繪仔細,圭稜畢現。又以淡墨微染水天,但覺暮色已沈,秋氣襲人。 趙孟頫(西元一二五四—一三二二年),宋宗室,字子昂,號松雪道人。仕元,至翰林學士承旨。書畫為後世所宗。&*This painting with neither seal nor signature of the artist has been attributed to Chao Meng-fu. The style, however, is slightly later. Here, T'ao Yüan-ming is strolling home with his staff in hand. With him are two servants; one carries a bundle of scrolls and a cloth-wrapped zither while the other a jug of wine. Five willows sway in the breeze in front of his home. His robes also flap in the wind as agile drapery lines twist and turn. Attention is also place on the texture of the bark. Pale washes for the background water and sky suggest dusk, and the cool of mountain woods pervades the scene. Chao Meng-fu, a scion of the Sung, served the following Yüan dynasty as a Han-lin Academician.
