- 中文摘要:本文之研究目的主要是為了探究澎湖聚落中，以普遍存在於民間層次的信仰觀念，如何藉 由人造物件以及儀式過程，消瀰聚落空間中影響生活秩序的諸多不良因子。在研究方法上，主要是透過文獻回顧、田野資料的收集．居民訪談等方式，對聚落防禦設施的種類、緣由、及其空間分佈進行研究與分類，並嘗試建立其完整的體系。 本文的內容敘述，主要以防禦設施之種類逐章討論，說明其功能、數量、空間位置、意義及儀式過程等，論述架構共分為七章，分別敘述如下： 第一章 緒 論 研究動機及目的、研究方法、研究對象與範圍、文獻回顧。 第二章 澎湖民間信仰與防禦體系 對於澎湖居民的思想觀念及民間信仰特質作一介紹，泛論澎湖現有的民間信仰與組 織、廟宇及神職人員，並定義出空間防禦體系的內容。 第三章 營 頭 說明聚落營頭的防禦方式，及空間具體的表現，並比較各聚落間在數量、名稱、觀念的差異。 第四章 土地公廟及將軍廟 由於環境的顯著不同，澎湖和台灣的土地公廟在觀念上略有差異，也因各聚落的需求不同，被賦予的功能及形式均有所不同。將軍廟則是澎湖特有的信仰種類，其防禦特質也顯示其獨特性。 第五章 石 塔 澎湖石塔的形式、構造多樣且複雜，首先將之進行分類，並依各聚落的防禦類型作歸類，說明其空間位置的意涵。 第六章 石 碑 針對各聚落的石碑防禦方式，象徵意義做整理及歸納。 第七章 結 論 經由前述的研究，探討防禦體系的形成、形式以及建立其空間模型，並提出後續研究的方向與可行性。
- 英文摘要:The main purpose of this thesis is to investigate that by way of performing rituals and using man made object, how beliefs of popular faith in the P''eng-Hu settlements may help omit bad element that upset one''s living order. The investigation is principally through reviewing reference literature, collecting background information and conversing with local resident. It is intended to form a complete picture of the numerous types, origins and spatial distributions of the defensive system of the settlement. By elaborating upon the functions, quantities, position, symbolism and ritual performances of the different types of defensive systems, this thesis is sub-divided into 7 chapters as in the following: Chapter 1 Introduction Initiative drive and aim of investigation, procedures, target candidate and area, and reference literature. Chapter 2 Popular faith and defensive system in P''eng-Hu Describing the special popular faith and beliefs of P''eng-Hu residents. Discussion the secular cult, religious organization, temples and representatives of these schools of thoughts respectively. Defining the essence of defensive system of space. Chapter 3 Ying-tour Explaining the defensive procedure of ying-tour and spatial representation in the settlement. Comparing the difference in quantity, name and beliefs among the various settlements. Chapter 4 Earth-God''s temple and general''s temple According to different needs and expectations the earth-god''s temple of each settlement is given individual form and function. The general''s temples a speciality of P''eng-Hu popular faith. This chapter discusses the importance of both types of architecture. Chapter S Stone Tower The form and construction of stone towers are various and complex in P''eng-Hu. This chapter explains the symbolic meanings of the spatial relationship between the stone tower and the settlement in which the tower is positioned. Chapter 6 Stone Tablet Explaining how the stone tablet in a settlement may contribute to its defensive system. Chapter 7 Conclusion Summarising the formation, representation and spatial vealisation of the defensive system. Presenting a possible direction for further research when necessary.
