- 石渠寶笈初編（御書房），下冊，頁941&*故宮書畫錄（卷一），第一冊，頁128-129&*彭年（西元一五０五－一五六六年），吳縣（江蘇蘇州）人。字孔嘉，號隆池。郡諸生。書初法晉人，兼精治印。家徒四壁，卒以貧死。 本幅行楷書，為臨寫蘇軾「歸去來辭」之作。全卷字跡朗秀，意態豐腴，結體穩密，遒美有逸韻，頗有蘇氏書風瀟灑奔放、豪邁不羈的氣概。本幅作於癸亥（一五六三）年，彭氏時年五十九歲。&*P'eng Nien, a native of Soochow, in his early study of calligraphy followed the Chin masters. He was also gifted at seal-carving. Since his family was poor, he died in poverty. This work in running script was done by P'eng as a copy of Su Shih's version of Homecoming, originally by T'ao Yuan-ming. The characters in this handscroll are elegant and beautiful with a sense of fullness. The arrangement of the characters is steady, but also has the casual beauty of Su Shih's calligraphy to give it an unbridled feeling.
