- 簡介:" Cyrtoplastus smetanai頭部背面深紅棕色；前胸背板及翅鞘紅棕色；腹面黑色，中胸腹板顏色較淡；觸角磚紅色，第9、10節顏色較深；足紅棕色。最寬處在於複眼後緣，複眼呈半球狀；頭楯突出，兩側無凹陷；頭楯線明顯。前胸背板的寬度為頭的1.73倍，寬度明顯地較長度長，稍微凸起。翅鞘寬度較頭部寬，其寬度稍較長度略大，非常凸起，側面輪廓具尖上膊角。C. smetanai棲息地為原始闊葉林，沿著大樹基部的落葉和枝條發霉層，及沿著小道旁繁盛植群的腐屑及腐殖質中。C. smetanai可以藉由其屬的特徵而輕易地與亞洲東南地區其他Agathidiini族之種類區別。如果與C. seriepunctatus 比較，雖然二者雄性交尾器及受精囊很相似，但兩者翅鞘上的刻點及體型大小明顯不同。而C. smetanai與 C. laevis不同之處在於其翅鞘上之小刻點條紋缺如。本種主要引用Angelini and De Marzo（1995）所發表之文獻內容。 Dorsum of Cyrtoplastus smetanai head dark reddish-brown; pronotum and elytra reddish-brown; venter black, paler at mesosternum; antennae testaceous, darker at segments 9-10; legs reddish-brown. Widest at the posterior margin of eyes; eyes hemispherical; clypeus protruding, without a pit at each side; clypeal line sharp. Pronotum 1.73 times as broad as head, markedly broader than long, little convex. Elytron moderately broader than pronotum, slightly broader than long, very convex; lateral outline with sharp humeral angle. Habitats of C. smetana: Original broad-leaved forest, mouldy layers of fallen leaves and twigs around bases of large trees, debris and humus among the lush vegetation along a trail. C. smetanai may be easily separated from the other Agathidiini of SE Asia by the generic characters. If it is compared to C. seriepunctatus Bris., the elytral puncturation and size are clear different in both species, although their male copulatory organs and spermathecae are similar. C. smetanai differs from C. laevis Hisamatsu 1985 (Japan) by the absence of punctured striae on the elytra.
