- 種命名者:A. Smetana
- 簡介:" Dinothenarus choui在特徵上與D. ruficeps相當類似，而差異如下：其體型一般較細，平均較小。除了性別的特徵說明外，D. choui的頭部及前胸背板較粗糙並具有稀少之斑點，可輕易地與D. ruficeps及D. sagaris區分。本種採集自阿里山的標本於損壞袋子底下的腐殖層中發現，而採集自鞍馬山的標本於混合長綠森林中的糞便陷阱中發現。截至目前為止，有關本種之文獻僅有一篇，因此本種之描述以Smetana (1995) 所發表之原始文獻為主。 Dinothenarus choui in all characters quite similar to D. ruficeps but different as follows: form in general more slender, average size smaller. D. choui may easily be distinguished from both D. ruficeps and D. sagaris, in addition to the sexual character states, by the coarser and sparser punctation on both the head and pronotum. The specimen from Alishan was taken from under damaged bags of rotting fertiliser. The specimen from Anmashan was taken from dung baited pitfall trap in a mixed evergreen forest. So far, there is only one reference describing this species. The description based on the original description of Smetana (1995)."
