英文說明:The people of Taiwan collected their firewood from the mountainsides. Coming down the mountains to return home, they used a carrying pole to transport their harvest. This firewood carrying pole is formed from two "Y"-shaped pieces of wood bound together. The joining is reinforced with rattan binding, and the juncture between the two pieces is joined with wood and serves as a shoulder pole. The "Y"-shaped base serves as the feet for the carrying pole. The firewood to be transported stuck out from within the "Y" portion. When walking on mountain paths, this type of pole was more convenient to use than a standard carrying pole. There are portions missing from this example.
