- 中文說明:本件標本由鐵刀、木刀鞘和腰帶三件組成，刀為鐵柄的鐵刀，俗稱番刀，亦可插長柄成為打獵的標槍，刀鞘為木製，按刀形而製成，用鐵線或銅線數條，橫釘在刀鞘上，以固定刀身，此佩刀屬泰雅族所有。
- 日文說明:鉄の刀と木の鞘と腰帯三つで組み合わせた物、刀は柄がついて俗に番刀と言い、長い柄をつけて猟の時の標槍にもなる。鞘は刀の形によって造る、鉄線や銅線で鞘の横に釘つけて刀身を固定する。アタヤル族所有の佩刀である。
- 英文說明:The three items in this display; a metal sword, a sheath and a belt were all used by the Atayal. The metal handled sword was called a machete and could be used as a hunting spear by attaching a longer handle. The sheath, made of wood, takes the shape of the sword with iron or copper wire stretched horizontally across to stable the blade of the sword.
