- 中文說明:民間捕鰻用竹編的鰻筌，鰻荃要沉入水中，編器有孔隙，易沉下去，管子是會浮起來，要拿出來時，編器水易漏出，管則裝滿水不易撈起。本件捕鰻器少見，成為特別的捕鰻器。
- 日文說明:鰻捕り用の竹編籠。竹編みの鰻うけは節穴があるので水に沈み易く、管が浮き上る。引き上げる時編籠の水は洩れてしまうが、管は水いっぱいで引きあげ難い。これは珍しい特別性の捕鰻器である。
- 英文說明:The common people used eel traps of plaited bamboo. These traps were submerged in the water and featured small openings to help them sink. The tube portion floated. When the trap was retrieved, the water inside ran out the holes in the trap, but the tube was full of water and difficult to grasp. This eel trap is a rare specimen which was specially made.
