- 中文說明:1960年代開始，台灣逐漸由農業轉型為工商業社會，戴斗笠已不恰當，手工的「大甲帽」又不便宜，而以塑膠製的杓帽，因為大量生產價格便宜，耐摔、而且仿大甲帽西式紳士帽的造型，是當時男仕的外出帽。
- 日文說明:1960年代より台湾は農業社会から商工業社会へと転向、笠を被る時代ではなくなり、手芸品の「大甲帽」も不便になって、ビニール製のひさし帽子が大量生産で値段も安く、耐久性があって、大甲帽の西洋式紳士帽子造型で、当時の男性外出用帽子として愛用された。
- 英文說明:At the beginning of the 1960s as Taiwan was transforming itself into an industrial based society, headwear of this sort began to take the place of the traditional “douli”—the quintessential leaf or straw conical hat worn by Asian farmers—which was deemed no longer appropriate. Handmade head gear was expensive, but plastic helmets like this one could be mass-produced inexpensively. This durable headwear, which imitated the western style gentlemen's apparel, was worn by men when going out.
