- 中文說明:明清時皮影戲已成為上層社會的寵者，也是民間戲劇的代表之一，堪稱為皮影戲最輝徨的時代，並於200年前由潮州輾轉傳入台灣，與布袋戲、傀儡戲並稱為三大偶戲。

- 英文說明:The end of the Ming and beginning of the Qing Dynasties was the golden age of shadow puppetry. Shadow puppet shows, characteristic of folk culture, had already become a favorite form of entertainment for upper class society. 200 years ago, the art form, which along with budai plays and marienettes, was considered one of the three major puppet show forms, had been introduced to Taiwan via Chaozhou.
