石渠寶笈三編(御書房),第七冊,頁3026&*故宮書畫錄(卷八),第四冊,頁124&*故宮書畫圖錄,第十三冊,頁259-260&* 金廷標,字士揆,烏程(今浙江湖州)人。工寫眞,並能繪人物士女及花卉。善取影,白描尤工。亦能界畫。清高宗二十五年(西元一七六○)南巡時,金廷標進白描羅漢冊,稱旨,命入內廷供奉。 園中翠竹與梅花、天竺果爭相競麗。室內案上梅瓶供養天竺、梅、松與茶花,並有水仙壽石盆栽相伴,當為新春時節。一婦人由月門窺群嬰嬉戲。喧鬧活潑的孩童,為新年增添熱鬧祥福的氣氛。 &* Chin T’ing-piao was a native of Wu-ch’eng (Hu-chou, Chekiang). He was a particularly fine figure painter and was skilled at sketching from life, sometimes employing chiaroscuro effects. He also painted architectural subjects and used the pai-miao ink outline technique. In 1760, Chin T’ing-piao presented an album of Lohan paintings to the Ch’ien-lung Emperor during his southern inspection tour. Chin was then called to paint at the court. Bamboo, plum blossoms and other flowers adorn the garden. Sprigs of plum, camellia and pine have been placed in a vase on a table in the studio, and narcissi and rocks serve as an elegant addition. All of these flowers are reminders of the new spring season. A woman observes a group of playing children, who are portrayed with exaggerated and simplified features.
