秘殿珠林續編(乾清宮),頁335&*故宮書畫錄(卷五),第三冊,頁567&*故宮書畫圖錄,第十一冊,頁395-396&* 董邦達(西元一六九九-一七六九年),浙江富陽人。字孚存,號東山。雍正癸丑進士,乾隆時,以博學精考核,命入內廷,襄編〔石渠寶笈〕諸書,後仕至禮部尚書。性好書法繪圖,山水喜宗元人筆墨。 竹林崖岸,白衣大士趺坐巨石之上,頂安坐佛,低目凝想,面容慈祥。全幅筆法鬆秀。 &*Bodhisattva Tung Pang-ta (1699-1769) Ch’ing Dynasty Tung Pang-ta was a native of Fu-yang. Chekiang. His style name was Fu-ts’un and his sobriquet was Tung-shan. Tung Pang-ta received his chin-shih degree in 1733, and because of his broad knowledge and investigative skills was brought to the court and made an assistant editor in the compilation of the palace collection catalogues, such as Shih-ch’ü pao-chi., etc. He later served as President of the Board of Rites. Tung Pang-ta was fond of painting and calligraphy, and his landscape paintings follow the style of the Yüan masters. In a bamboo grove by a cliff, a white-robed Kuan-yin sits in meditation stop a large rock. Eyes are lowered in deep meditation; the countenance of the face is compassionate. The brushwork of the entire painting is relaxed and elegant.
