石渠寶笈三編(延春閣),第五冊,頁2439&*故宮書畫錄(卷八),第四冊,頁124&*故宮書畫圖錄,第十三冊,頁285-286&* 金廷標(活動於一七六0至一七六四間)字士揆,浙江烏程人,高宗南巡時因獻白描羅漢冊,而被召為內廷畫家。 本幅畫雪中採芝,畫面危巖,使用他擅長的斧劈皴,但用筆却比其他作品來得粗獷奔放。草叢、苔點、掛藤、松針,或加白粉,或留空地,用以強調積雪的景緻。人物衣紋的線條相當流暢。臉部、衣紋的烘染,凹凸分明,或略受西洋光影法影響。 &* Chin T’ing-piao (tzu Shih-k’uei) was a native of Wu-ch’eng, Chekiang. Once when the Ch’ien-lung Emperor travelled south, Chin presented him with an album of Lohan in pai-miao (ink outline) and was subsequently given a position in the academy of painting. The theme of this painting is gathering fungus on a snowy day. The precipitous peaks are defined with expertly executed ax-cut ts’un (texture strokes) and the brushwork, compared with that of his other works, is forceful and unrestrained. The grasses, lichen, suspended rattan and pine needles are either dotted with white or left partially unpainted in order to emphasize places where snow has accumulated. The concavities and convexities of the faces and clothing of the figures are clearly distinguished, suggesting that Chin was, to a certain extent, influenced by the shading techniques of western painting.
