石渠寶笈三編(延春閣),第四冊,頁2029&*故宮書畫錄(卷五),第三冊,頁450-451&*故宮書畫圖錄,第九冊,頁165-166&* 劉原起(活動於十七世紀前半),字振之,江蘇吳縣人。生平不詳,能詩善畫,山水師錢穀,亦善花卉。 靈巖山在江蘇吳縣西,又名研(硯)石山。春秋時吳王為西施置「館娃宮」於此,後來改建為靈巖寺。登其巓,俯看太湖,千里之景盡收眼底。此幅描繪從山下眺望山巓之景,寺宇、佛塔依稀可見。作於壬子(一六一二)。其上有文徵明四世孫文柟楷書靈巖記。 &* Liu Yüan-ch’i was a native of what is now Soochow. Gifted at poetry and painting, he studied the landscape style of Ch’ien Ku and also did flowers. Mt. Ling-yen is located to the west of Soochow. In the Spring and Autumn Period at this site, King Wu had the Kuan-wa Palace built for the beauty Hsi Shih. Later, it was converted to the Ling-yen Temple. From the top of the mountain, the vast expanse of Lake T’ai is visible below. Seen here is a scene of the mountain with a temple and pagoda partially visible. At the top of this work, done in 1612, is a transcription of the history of Mt. Ling-yen done in regular script by a descendant of Wen Cheng-ming.
