- 石渠寶笈三編（延春閣），第五冊，頁2077&*故宮書畫錄（卷八），第四冊，頁158&*黃炳中，約西元十六世紀後半期人，生平不詳。 幅上亭台居中，諸樹環繞，伴以湖石；欄外牡丹盛放，繁花似錦，衆文士優遊此間，賞心而悅目。觀所畫之樹石人物，具沈周、文徵明筆意，當屬吳派畫風之作品。 本幅選自「申時行適圃圖」冊第二開。 &* Several gentlemen are strolling about the grounds of a garden pavilion, admiring the unusual rocks and the colorful peonies that are blooming in profusion at the perimeter fence. Stylistically the figures, trees, and rocks resemble those of Shen Chou (1427-1509) and of his student Wen Cheng-ming (1470-1559), and thus this work can be considered a product of the Wu School of painting.
