- 石渠寶笈初編（御書房），下冊，頁940&*故宮書畫錄（卷一），第一冊，頁121&*王寵（一四九四-一五三三）字履仁，一字履吉，號雅宜山人。江蘇蘇州人。擅長書法、文學。 本幅運筆流暢瀟灑，是王寵三十六歲完成的作品。序文為韓愈三十四歲所作，宋代文豪蘇軾曾經讚美韓愈此文是唐代最重要的文章。盤谷在河南省濟源縣太行山南方，韓愈的朋友李愿隱居在這裡，所以號盤谷子，韓愈很羨慕李愿歸隱山林，而有意相隨。 &*Wang Ch'ung, a native of Soochow, excelled at calligraphy and literature. The calligraphy in this work, done by Wang at the age of 35, is flowing and graceful. This preface was authored by Han Yu (768-824) at the age of 33 and was once praised by the literary great Su Shih (1036-1101) as the most important piece of literature from the T'ang dynasty (618-907). P'an-ku lies at the southern part of the T'ai-hang Mountains in Honan province and was the site of reclusion for Han Yu's friend Li Yuan. Han was envious of Li Yuan for being able to return to his life of reclusion in the mountains, and Han expressed a desire to follow suit.
