- 石渠寶笈初編（養心殿），上冊，頁670&*故宮書畫錄（卷八），第四冊，頁98&*故宮書畫圖錄，第十冊，頁271-272&* 王原祁（西元一六四二－一七一五年）字茂京，號麓臺，一號石師道人。江蘇太倉人。王時敏孫。康熙朝以畫供奉內廷，鑑定古今名畫。善畫山水，學黃公望淺絳山水尤為獨絕。著有「雨窗漫筆」、「掃花庵跋」行世。 本幅作於五十八歲，水墨畫雪景自謂仿李成，為王原祁傳世作品中較鮮見。畫中山石層疊，松林枯木參錯，森森鬱鬱，蒼涼荒率，一派嚴冬景象。 &* Wang Yűan-ch’i, a native of Kiangsu province, was the grandson of Wang Shih-min. Serving in the inner court under the K’ang-hsi Emperor, he was a connoisseur of paintings. He also excelled at landscape painting himself, basing his style on that of Huang Kung-wang. This work was done in 1699, at the age of 57. Wang claimed that this snow scene was painted in the manner of Li Ch’eng, making it quite unusual among his surviving works based on the old masters.
