He also reportedly did a thousand paintings of bodhisattvas. In this work, a lohan holds his sleeve with his left hand. He stares at the brilliant pearl that he holds in his right hand. The waves upon which he stands are shown emanating from it, thereby making the figure appear extremely light in mid-air. The lohan’s dark moustache, beard, and bushy eyebrows stand out, giving him a luminous spirit. The drapery lines are elegant and detailed.
