石渠寶笈續編(重華宮),第三冊,頁1547&*故宮書畫錄(卷五),第三冊,頁133&*故宮書畫圖錄,第三冊,頁51&*1.王耀庭,〈宋人畫南唐耿先生煉雪圖〉,收入王耀庭、童文娥編,《長生的世界:道教繪畫特展圖錄》(臺北:國立故宮博物院,1996年初版),頁76。 &*本幅傳為宋人作品。水墨畫雪景,遠處蕭瑟,近景則玉宇樓臺,為宮廷景緻。畫中之耿先生為南唐女冠,元宗(李環)保大年間游於金陵,以道術修煉為事,元宗召入宮中觀其術,據說嘗煉雪成金。幅中元宗端坐殿前,左右宮娥環侍,左下安爐煉雪者,即耿先生。長廊懸帳間,亦見女冠們閒坐窗畔。畫幅重心為近景宮殿,界畫工整細麗。長廊自右方延伸而來,橫貫畫面,構圖上憑添特色。 &*Attributed to an anonymous Sung artist, this painting depicts a snowy, desolate landscape with Master Ken, a female Taoist adept and alchemist, performing the occult art of changing snow into gold for Emperor Yuan-tsung (Li Huan) of the Southern T'ang dynasty (937-975) during his trip to Chin-ling. Surrounded by attendants in the foreground palatial building, the emperor, who was interested in Taoist arts, is attentively watching Master Ken's performance. The emperor is depicted in the hall surrounded by palace women. The figure refining snow at his feet is Master Ken. In the long corridor are female Taoist adepts sitting at a window. The artist applied refined and even lines to paint the palace, which, presenting a sharp contrast to the desolate snowy background, is in the center of the picture. And, by placing the long curving corridor diagonally across the painting, he created a special composition.
