故宮書畫錄(卷八),第四冊,頁58&*故宮書畫圖錄,第二冊,頁127-128&*據《漢武帝內傳》載,西王母曾往見漢武帝,並贈仙桃四枚。本幅繪遠處雲峰匝繞,前景清泉激岩,山徑上霓旌雲幛,車馬隨從掩映於樹石間,丘崖後微露殿脊,蒼松懸壁,西王母與漢武帝相向對坐交談,眾女仙捧桃實競進,有祥瑞慶壽之寓意。其人物描繪精謹,松樹造型夭矯多姿,山石為已定型之斧劈皴,設色明豔。畫上無款印,雖題為宋劉松年作品,或乃承明代周臣、唐寅、仇英風格之後人所作。&*According to the private biography of Emperor Wu-ti, the Taoist Queen Mother of the West once met and offered him four peaches of immortality. This work shows a dense landscape setting. A stream splashes through as elaborate carriages line the path before the palace balcony. A cliff rises on the left, topped by twisting pine trees. The Queen and the emperor sit in conversation. Several maidens hold platters of peaches, symbols of longevity. The figures are meticulous and the pines grand. The earthen slopes are done in formulaic axe-cut texture strokes, and the coloring is opulent.
