石渠寶笈初編(御書房),下冊,頁1140 &*故宮書畫錄(卷五),第三冊,頁205 &*故宮書畫圖錄,第四冊,頁369-370&*1.王耀庭,〈元王蒙桃源春曉圖〉,收入王耀庭編,《淵明逸致特展圖錄》(臺北:國立故宮博物院,1988年初版),頁101。 &*王蒙(西元一三○八—一三八五年),吳興(浙江湖州)人。字叔明,號黃鶴山樵,趙孟頫外孫。畫風以王維、董、巨為宗,但能自立面目,為元四大家之一。 本幅寫陶潛〈桃花源記〉之景色。春光明媚,漁郎撐棹,徐行於江水之上。兩岸桃花齊綻吐英,遠山疊嶂,山頭苔點繁密,為一煥發回春的景象。此作山石、樹木層疊,構圖繁複,無迫塞之感。皴山畫樹,層層點染,筆墨蒼潤,有古雅之趣。&*Wang Meng, a native of Wu-hsing (modern Hu-chou, Chekiang), was the grandson of Chao Meng-fu. His unique style was indebted to those of Wang Wei, Tung Yüan, and Chü-jan, for which he is known as one of the Four Yüan Masters. This scroll depicts a scene from T'ao Yüan-ming's The Peach Blossom Spring. In the light of a spring dawn, a fisherman punts his boat along a stream. On both banks are delicate groves of blossoming peach trees. Precipitous mountains sprinkled with "moss" dots rise in the distance for a luminous spring. Layers of ridges and trees create for a complex yet unoppressive composition. The texture strokes with dots and washes make a rich effect of ink and thus suggest an archaic elegance.
