The figures' costumes and equipage closely resemble those found in the paintings of "Lady Wen-chi Returning to China" by Li T'ang (ca. 1050-after 1130) and Ch'en Chü-chung (fl. 1201-04). However, the brushwork in this painting is relatively delicate.
