- 內容摘要說明：Baro. 30-10. Wrote a good deal and read also. Dr. Angear at Hos.with me - Hanson and Cap. of "Fei-chew" called at 4 p.m. Cobra. (Naja tripudians) A man brought a Cobra in a small basket which he got in a hole on "north Hill." We all went out in front of the Col. and let him free for half an hour whilst a dozen were ready with long bamboo poles in case he should try to escape. ---- He was 4 ft. 10 inches long and dark in color. When running the distinguishing mark could not be seen' but when touched he instantly threw his head up' inflated the "hood"' made the characteristic noise and mould the tail like a Cat ready to pounce on its prey. ---- This Cobra looked like the Naja' haje of Egypt. Worship at 7 p.m.
