- 內容摘要說明：. Made an early start and got to Sin-tsng at 8 a.m. Heard 10 boys and 15 women recite the subjects given. They did very well. 10.30 left and came to Hong-kui-tiam 8 li away. Look dinner on the side of the road. Had my plate on an old broken chair sat on a bench… Cutting rice Man 71 learning Walked on 5 li more and passed through Kam-hng where there are a few shops…The rice crop looked splendid…So heavy in places as to be lying down. Farmers were cutting and thrashing…Arrived at Sa-kak eng at 2 p.m. extr. teeth on the road and here in the chapel… Chapel packed full and a large crowd at the door…Children and others recited for two hours and a half. One man 71 years of age recited to the surprise of all present. So too' one 50 years old did well… The converts seemed earnest and active. I never saw them in such a prosperous state. The new converts gathered in seemed truly vigorous and progressive. If course that makes the enemy more hateful. Savages in Chains
