內容摘要說明:Quite cold-went at 7 A.M. to see Lien-ho at Toa-tiu-tiaN. He was low but when I asked him if he was thinking of Jesus etc. He replied " O yes all the time. He is precious to me now" etc. I said would you like to hear us sing " Yes very much' very much" We sang ( I.E. Koa Kau' myself and the Teacher) the 10th hymn ( Psalm 121) He said " I heard all' how sweet now' now 'now). I said Lien Ho we will sing hymn 41th (Forever with the Lord) when near through he brightened up' his eyes looked bright and his countenance actually shone with a kind of smile and raised himself up considerably in the bed. I bade him good bye and left the family being all in tears abound him-at 10 A.M. I got word that he pass away and went to try and comfort the Poor wife and children-at 1: 30 P.M. took six students to the Hos. And attended to 15 new and 27 old patients- Spoke in the Hos. On " Christ our Redeemer" Heb. 9:12- Called again on Lien-Ho's family- Found all weeping-In the eve. I spoke on the time when Lien Ho was baptized etc. Indeed about all who were bap. that year viz 1874 - He was 30 years of age when admitted to communion. Sat up very late reading & examining papers-Death ! death !! no one could escape thy clutches . well " To die is gain" Lien-Ho buried at 2 P.M.
