Coolies at work digging the ground around the hedge. ___ Our two canaries which were given as a present by the Engineer of the 'Fukien' doing well in my study room ---- At I P.M. went to the Hos. saw many old Patients before Doctor Angear came' then saw new ones with him. ___ Rev. Thomas Barclay and Doctor Russel Taiwanfoo came on the "Hailoong." We gave themselves and Mr. Aminoff dinner. Then I took them to see the Col. and Girl's school. Then in my study I extracted a tooth for Dr. Russel. At 4 P.M. they went up the river. They are fine fellows.
