- 內容摘要說明：Since leaving Tiong-lek this morning we came on rapidly. At Nia-teng where a railway cut is being made I went with one of the students to examine the formation and seeing no flag or anything to indicate danger I moved on when suddenly a shower of stones of all sizes fell round us. Narrow escape No workmen could be seen or heard. Yet stone blasting went on and soon stopped. For it was noon and all were away save one who laid the train of powder…This is China at present nothing to indicate danger. Passed some time in the Sin-tsng chapel and now here we after a very rough trip… In the streets extracted teeth and addressed crowds in several places…
