Hall of the "Formosa" S.S. came in and was so agreeable as indeed he always is. No man visits the Hos. more frequently than he…Then he came up with me and spent two hours looking over geological specimens. Rocks shells etc. etc. in my museum room pleasant to meet such humble and modest men. Times with out number in the Hos. he has thrown his coat off and helped during operations' going then back to his ship with trowsers all sported with blood…
