- 內容摘要說明：About 11 a.m. consul. F. S. A. Bowne came with Vice-admiral Sir Nowell Salmon' lady' daughter etc. to see my museum room. All were much pleased. Especially with a plank of camphor wood about nine feet square and carved with patterns purely native' not Chinese. The admiral's Flag-ship came to Kelung. She is called "Jmperieuse" twin screw battle ship of 8400 tons. Here at the Chinese 'Fort'' the soldiers were firing her a salute when somehow four men got badly burnt and were at once taken to the hospital. One poor fellow died within two hours. Scarabeus lacer' Sacred Beetles' of the Egyptians.
