- 內容摘要說明：--heard about a quarrel at Kelung between coolies belonging to a foreign Hong and others on the road. One of the former was killed and when the Governor heard of it 10 days were given to the Kelung magistrate to find out the guilty party. In five days two were brought to Bang-kah and beheaded. The Kelung magistrate in going before the governor had his hands behind him as if tied and dressed in black to show his faults or sins were great and no cap on. The whole matter is now settled. Cook sick' two students sick. Family worship in my study- Chinese anxious about rain
