- 內容摘要說明：Fourteen years ago this day I landed at Tamsui. The converts met to commemorate that. Three oxen and three pigs were killed through the day--- Oxford college and girl's school decorated. Flags were flying. Many arches were made-At 5 P.M. all marched two and two from the girl's school to the Col. there we sung a hymn. In eve. all met in the col. A Hoa in the chair. A beautiful walking stick was presented to me valued at $ 100. Dr. Johansen. Rev. Mr. Gibson Mr. And Mrs. Jamieson were present. I spoke after many letters of congratulation were read. I told them the hardest work. Most trying time was when shut out not being able to get back to Formosa on account of French blockade-after all was over. Non-converts had fireworks. 1273 converts were present. (One thousand two hundred and seventy three) Praise Jehovah! Almighty God I bless thee for all Thy goodness. Up till Midnight arranging Mission Matters-Dry and lovely.
