- 石渠寶笈三編（御書房），第七冊，頁3119&*故宮書畫錄（卷五），第三冊，頁424-425&*故宮書畫圖錄，第八冊，頁155-156&*項元汴（西元一五二五至一五九○年），浙江嘉興人。字子京，號墨林居士。精鑑賞，自解畫以至能畫，山水學元黃公望、倪瓚，尤醉心於倪，得其勝趣；又寫梅、蘭、竹石，頗有幽情逸致。 本幅畫崖石挺峻，懸浮水面，蘭竹出自其後。筆勢揮洒流暢，通幅以水墨成之，富於水份，雅淡天眞，極具文人畫意。 &*Hsiang Yüan-pien was a native of Chia-hsing, Chekiang. He was an important collector and connoisseur, and his broad experience with ancient paintings laid a foundation for his own art. Hsiang painted landscapes, plum blossoms, orchids, bamboo and rocks, and his landscapes after the Yüan painters Huang Kung-wang and Ni Tsan. A rocky cliff rises steeply by a stream, orchids and bamboo emerge behind. The painting is done in monochrome ink. Its elegant brushwork indicates the style of scholars’ painting.
