英文摘要:Lidou (Ritual) is a kind of ancient belief on stars, and belongs to the category of Vegetable Diet Worship. According to the form of ceremony written in (War Period poet) Chu Yuan’s “Nine Literatures in the Country of Chu”, it already had a primitive ceremony form. Having gone through (Han Dynasty) Yu chi-chuang’s “The Ways of Peaceful Time” and (Later Easter Han) Chang Ling-chuang’s “The Ways of Five Decaliter Rice”, the Vegetable Diet Worship already established its fundamental form. After Ling-bao Branch of Eastern Jing Dynasty developed and presented “Ling-bao Canon”, the Vegetable Diet Worship had been formed concretely, and started to gain the attention of Daoism. Researchers used the traditional ancient Chinese “Lidou Ritual” to re-prove “Principle of Mystery” still exists in today’s hi-tech society of modern Taiwan. By way of qualitative and quantitative analyses, this thesis will spread out “The Religious Experience of ‘Lidou Ritual’ and Its Effects --- A case study of Tamsui’s Hsing-Chung Temple.” Through the investigation on ‘Lidou Ritual,’ the religious ritual participants’ spiritual experience and explanations on the changes in their bodies, minds, and deeds were deeply investigated. Furthermore, the practical case was deeply analyzed and proved into, so that this thesis may develop and comprehend the purpose of the study, which is composed of the following three points. 1. Clarify the religious meanings “Lidou Ritual”: From the disciples’ point of view to clarify the religious meanings. 2. Describe and record the religious experience of “Lidou Ritual” participants: This thesis will describe and record the participants’ religious experience. In the meantime, investigation will be made on whether “Religious ceremony theory” and “Principle of mystery” exist in “Lidou Ritual”. If the points of study can be attested through the investigation, it may help to comprehend the existence value of “Lidou Ritual.” 3. The theory and examination of religious ceremony: Scholars deeply concern about new religions, the phenomena of re-consecration (re-sanctification), so-called “efficaciousness” and “Palpitation”. Not only the new religions emphasize on special psychological experiences, but also the common traditional religions have them. Studies show that among the disciples of Tamsui's Hsing-Chung Temple, the female disciples are more dedicated, and the dedication increases with the age of the disciples. Although Lidou Ritual changes, the religious experience of the participants is still affectionate. The strong religious experience makes development of personal harvest on religious and the development of religion itself. Therefore, Lidou Ritual is one of the most important religious activities of Temple Groups.
