英文摘要:There are more than five hundred temples to Mazu in Taiwan, so the worship of the goddess is very popular here. Tainan city was the most important region in politics, economy, culture and religion from Holland to Manchu dynasty in Taiwan. Period of end in Manchu dynasty, because of the environment of coast and political factor, the role of Tainan city was gradually falling off. The main thesis is to study on Mazu worship in Tainan by discussing the rise and fall between different powers. The temple to the Queen of Heaven is micro-researched, for example. The other emphasis is tracing the relationship between Matsu and adorers. The different styles to worship God and Goddess in the Mazu Temples are interpreted to satisfy the desire of adorers. To know how inhabitants has cultivated and interacted with the settlements by tackling the origin, established site and time of Mazu Temples in Tainan. Especially on recent years, the belief in Mazu is transforming under the great changes on economy, society and culture. So there is a argument on the successive changes of orthodox Lu-erth-men Holy Mother Temple(鹿耳門古廟)and the phenomenon to compete for which is the oldest Mazu Temple in Taiwan. We come to the conclusion that Mazu worship in Tainan has own characteristics, and furthermore, to summarize the influence on Mazu worship in Taiwan is creating to the present day.
