英文摘要:This thesis aims at the eight hundred and forty one stories of “Ching-Shin” edited by Feng Meng Long, examining the stories about love and marriage between humans and ghosts, exploring the background of its formation and the thematic awareness, analyzing the text from the narrative angles of time and space, images of the characters, and the plots, understanding the narrative mode, the thematic awareness of its creation, the connotations of these stories, and the analysis of the images of humans and ghosts, and, probing into the interesting purports of the stories by using charts and statistics to analyze them. The whole thesis is divided into seven chapters, eighteen sections, composed of more than one hundred and eighty thousand words. The first chapter, the introduction, explains the motivation of this study and the range of this study; the second chapter briefly brings out the life, works, the origin of thoughts, and characteristics of Feng Meng Long, and his theory of love. Chapter Three explains the story editing of the love and marriage between humans and ghosts, the revision of the original works and the analysis of the theme. Chapter Four centers on the images of the characters and psychological aspects in the stories. Chapter Five aims at the analysis of time and space, the mode of plots and different kinds of love in the love stories between humans and ghosts, analyzing the ways humans and ghosts break the barrier between two different worlds so as to understand the difference of the love between merely humans, and the love between humans and ghosts. Chapter Six analyzes what meanings and ideas the thematic awareness of these stories presents. Chapter Seven emphasizes the limitations of the stories about love and marriage between humans and ghosts, and from the perspective of Feng Meng Long, tries to point out the values of these stories. This study is expected to verify how Feng Meng Long treats the subtle relationship between humans and ghosts in these love stories by the analysis of these stories, to interpret the works thoroughly, and to combine the observations and analyses of these stories from the psychological, cultural, and social angles. By such study, the thesis is expected to interpret and probe into the connotations and meanings of these stories, and to reflect on the social values and cultural meanings behind the stories edited by Feng Meng Long.
