The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between identification and inclination of patronage from habitants’ background and layer of worship by means of the Da-Jia Ma-Tsu custom activities being taken place, and to provide the result to related organizations as a reference when holding activities. The range of the study includes the religious citizens who mainly worship Ma-Tsu as the Goddess in the religion circle involving Da-Jia, Da-An, Wai-Pu and Hou-Li in the administration areas. The samples are random sampling, and 440 pieces out of the total amount are valid. Analyzing the statistics, explaining the result and meaning with SPSS for windows 10.0, our research station’s five assumptions which were proved by actual demonstration have come to the conclusions below: 1. There is a bit difference of the identification to folk activities, depending on what the habitants’ backgrounds are. 2. There is a deal of difference of the identification to folk activities depending on what religion circles the habitants are. 3. There is obviously particular difference of the inclination of patronage according to what the habitants’ backgrounds are. 4. There is little difference between different religion circles and the inclination of patronage to folk activities. 5. The higher the habitants’ identification to folk activities is, the more they are inclinable to patronize. We can learn from the result of actual demonstration that the habitants’ identification to Da-Jia Ma-Tsu custom festival considers most to the spirit or cultural aspect, and least to the realistic economic capability and other facts where reinforcement is required. As to the inclination of patronage, they tend to be glory and redeem a vow for their first choice. There have been some changes in the religion circle as time goes by and the activities are held. Returning to the population mode in which people devoted what they could to support the activities has no more been adopted by the public. Meanwhile, the higher their identification to the folk activities is, the more they are inclinable to patronize comparatively. We address related suggestions along with the study so as to be helpful to hold and give impetus to custom activities.
