英文摘要:The religious belief is one of the most necessary elements composing human being life though science flourishes now. This study is designed to comprehend the main factors, behaviors and importance for elementary school students’ religious belief so as to provide schools reference about religious education plan and teaching designs. In-depth interview of qualitative research is adopted to collect data. To collect the information, the interviews were asked open-ended questions to express their opinions freely in the face-to-face interview after drafting the interview outline. The 5th and 6th grade primary school students were chosen to be studied in Gounggang Township of Miaoli County, and 13 students who have religious belief were samples according to judgmental sampling. From the results, we can conclude: 1) The family, especially parents and grandparents, affects elementary school students’ religious belief a lot. 2) The distinct differences between conversion or not lie in diet and entertainment. 3) The importance of religious belief is quite dissimilar between the students who have religious belief and the ones who have no religious belief in some aspects, such as the stabilization of mood, the attitude toward work, the upgrade of moral standard, the respect for life, the change and insistence of diet, the need for support and help from religion and so on. To sum up, family education is crucial. The related institution should pay more attention on it. Moreover, it is proved that the conversion is helpful to build students decent behaviors. Therefore, it is suggested that sharing religious stories could purify students’ mind and soul so that the vicious acts would be avoided.
