- 顏真卿（西元七○九－七八四年），字清臣，山東臨沂人。開元進士，世稱顏魯公，晚年被叛將李希烈所執，不屈而死。此帖為顏真卿行草精品，與〈祭伯父稿〉、〈祭姪稿〉並稱「魯公三稿」。顏真卿因不滿權奸驕橫跋扈而奮筆直書，寫來慷慨激昂，字勢飛動，饒富生氣。米芾稱「此帖在顏最為傑思」，信手揮來，不假凝思，精湛的用筆與結字，在行間中展露無疑。此拓為王海嵐先生捐增。(20120104)&* Yan Zhenqing (style name Qingchen) was from Linyi, Shandong, and a Kaiyuan-era Presented Scholar also known as “Duke of Lu.” In later years captured by the rebel general Li Xilie, the loyal Yan refused to submit and was killed. This masterpiece of Yan’s semi-cursive script (donated by Mr. Wang Hai-lan) is known with drafts to his uncle and nephew as “Three Drafts of the Duke of Lu.” Yan, unable to bear arrogant and overbearing political maneuverings, took up the brush to express himself, pouring passion into forceful characters flying with vitality. Mi Fu said, “This is the most outstanding work by Yan.” With the brush moving effortlessly, he transcends thought as consummate brushwork and character form reveal certainty in the lines.(20120104)
