The grand sedan chair is the main bout of the entire parade. When it arrives, believers of all ages bend down on their knees in rows, preparing for crawling under the sedan chair (鑽轎腳) to pray for peace and evict demons.The grand sedan chair we see most commonly is like a mini temple. It is carried by eight people to present the dignity and solemnity of the deity. There are some other special grand sedan chairs carried by four people, such as the one of Baishatun Matsu."
