英文說明:This chamber pot was used by a male for urination. In Chinese, they were also called "tigers", and are of very early origin. Such artifacts have been discovered as funerary objects dating from the Han and Wei Jin dynasties. People from earlier times found it inconvenient to make the trip to the bathroom at night, so the elderly would place this sort of pot underneath the bed. If the bed's occupant needed to urinate during the night, the pot was drawn out from under the bed to serve the purpose. After use, it was replaced under the bed. The pots were emptied the next morning and washed out. This example is made of unglazed porcelain, and is round, with a handle. It is complete and in fine condition. The pot dates from the 1940s.
